Support Safer Police Encounters: Add Medical Info to License Plate Records We are collecting 100,000 signatures to submit a formal petition to the White House urging lawmakers to require that critical medical conditions—such as pacemakers, diabetes, and epilepsy—be included in the information retrieved when a license plate is run by law enforcement. This life-saving initiative aims to ensure safer, more informed interactions between police officers and community members, especially during traffic stops and emergency situations. Medical information would be: Voluntarily provided by the registered vehicle owner Verified by a letter from a licensed physician Submitted through the DMV or appropriate vehicle registration agency. Accessible only to certified law enforcement officers at the time of a license plate query Protected under strict data privacy measures This data would help officers respond more appropriately to individuals experiencing a medical episode, reducing the risk of misinterpretation or unnecessary escalation.
