As of January 2019, Georgia recorded an estimated 10,443 individuals experiencing homelessness on any given day, as reported by the Continuum of Care to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This figure included 815 family households, 596 unaccompanied young adults (aged 18-24), and 1,137 individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. Notably, 801 of these individuals were veterans of the United States military. During the 2017-2018 school year, public school data reported to the U.S. Department of Education revealed that approximately 39,571 public school students in Georgia experienced homelessness. Among them, 736 students were unsheltered, 2,545 resided in shelters, 7,347 stayed in hotels/motels, and 28,943 were doubled up. Our mission revolves around uniting the community through compassion and highlighting the collective nature of our experiences. We are a non-political, non-religious community outreach program with a primary focus on aiding the homeless, disabled, and uncompensated veterans, while extending our resources to anyone in need.
